INDIAN TIGERS AND TIGRESSES

News9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses is world’s largest football talent hunt to identify and train boys and girls in the age group of 12 to 14 and 15 to 17 years across the country. The scouting process will engage talented youngsters in the country and the best of the lot – 20 boys and 20 girls – will be felicitated in Germany in early 2025. The initiative to “catch them young” to power Indian football is supported by the best in the business from Europe – DFB Pokal, Bundesliga, India Football Centre, IFI, BVB, RIESPO among others.

  • Phase 1

    July till Mid-December: Call for registrations and an online screening of the participants through AI-enabled scouting.

  • Phase 2

    January onwards: Offline scouting across 50+ schools pan India followed by second round of shortlisting

  • Phase 3

    End of March: Selected 40 finalists - 20 boys and 20 girls - shall fly to Europe to play football and get felicitated in Germany and mentored in Europe!

REGISTRATION STEPS

To take part in the Indian Tigers and Tigresses Initiative a participant needs to complete the following two steps:

Register on Indian Tigers and Tigresses website
  • Verify your email ID
  • Fill the registration form
  • Make a payment of INR 100/- as registration fee

Registration on our partner RIESPO’s website (This platform evaluates the talent score of each participant basis which shortlisting in the first phase will be done)
  • After successful payment completion you will see a link that redirects you to the RIESPO portal.
  • You shall register on this portal and fill all the required details on the RIESPO website.
  • A small submission in the form of the participant showcasing his or her footballing skills will be done.
  • The submission will be your entry to the contest.

After screening of all entries, selected participants will move to phase 2 of the contest.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Participant must be in the age group of 12-14 years or 15-17 years.
  • It’s open to all students in the defined age bracket.

  • Even those who are not enrolled in any school or club are free to participate..
  • Participant without any prior football training or coaching can also take part in the initiative.

Selection Process

    10,000 students will be shortlisted basis the talent displayed in a video submission

  • 2

    These 10,000 students will undergo selection trials in over 100 camps across the country. International expert scouts, AI and popular demand will choose 200 boys and 200 girls for Stage 3

  • 3

    These 400 aspiring footballers will attend a training and shortlisting camp where they will undergo a holistic footballing skill development module. Of these 400 young Indian Tigers and Tigresses, 20 boys and 20 girls will be selected to travel to Germany and Austria.

Who can participate in the contest?

  • For 12-14 years:
  • Participant should be in the age group of 12 to 14 years
  • Children who are born between 30th November 2010 and 1st August 2012 (both dates included) are eligible to participate
  • For 15-17 years:
  • Participant should be in the age group of 15-17 years.
  • Children who are born between 30th November 2007 and 1st August 2009 (both dates included) are eligible to participate
  • Candidates in the age group of 14-15 are not eligible to participate in the contest

Can my parent/guardian register on my behalf?

  • Yes, your parent/legal guardian can register on your behalf. They will fill your name in the registration form and fill their details in the mentioned fields.

I do not have my own email address, what should I do?

  • You can register using your parents email address

I do not have my own contact details; what should I do?

  • In this case you can fill in your parent’s contact information and participate in the contest.

I do not have an alternate contact number, what do I do?

  • You may provide the contact number of your parent or legal guardian.

Do I need to be a part of a football coaching program to take part?

  • No, you need not be a part of any football coaching program.

Do I need to be trained in football to participate?

  • No, you can participate in the contest without any prior football skills.

Do I need permission from my school to participate in the contest?

  • No, you don’t need permission from your schools or teachers to participate in the contest.

What are the steps to register for the contest?

  • The registration fee for the contest is INR 100/- which is nonrefundable.

I did not make it to the phase 2 of selections, will my participation fee be refunded?

  • No, the registration fee of INR 100/- is nonrefundable

Do I have to pay at every phase of selections?

  • No, the registration fee of INR 100/- is to be paid only once.

Where will I get the code for RIESPO?

  • After you have made the payment for registration, please re-login again on the website and you can see the RIESPO code and the link to RIESPO portal.

I have made the payment, but I am not redirected to RIESPO, what should I do?

  • Please try to re-login on the website and you will see a link that takes you to the RIESPO page.

My transaction has failed, what should I do?
